Built for the Quantum Era. Deployable Today.

Merqury combines cutting-edge techniques with practical tools to secure your data - and your future.

Business

We make your business quantum-secure in three easy steps

Business

Quantum computing poses a direct threat to today’s encryption systems. Sensitive data is already being harvested through “store now, decrypt later” strategies. Merqury enables organisations to act early with quantum-safe communication solutions. Our platform integrates post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD) using vendor-agnostic tools and ETSI GS QKD 014 standards. We support existing infrastructure with minimal disruption, scaling from point-to-point encryption to complex, multi-node deployments. From risk identification to secure implementation, Merqury simplifies quantum security, helping businesses protect their data while maintaining operational continuity and regulatory alignment.

Integrators

Merqury provides integrators with a modular, standards-compliant platform for deploying quantum-secure communication systems. Our tools are designed to support diverse network environments. These include Vulcan, a quantum key management system built in Rust with ETSI GS QKD 014 compliance and support for trusted nodes; Janus, a network management and control system supporting dynamic topologies, passive optical switches, and transparent failover; and Athena, a monitoring and alerting suite offering insights into network health, key generation rates, and service performance. These components work together to support the deployment and management of advanced quantum-secure infrastructure.

Business

Our simple three-step process for identifying your business’ cybersecurity needs and implementing appropriate solutions.

Identify

The first step toward quantum-safe communications is understanding how existing systems are vulnerable. Classical encryption methods such as RSA and ECC are at risk from quantum computing, and sensitive data is already being collected under “store now, decrypt later” strategies. Merqury supports organisations through a Quantum Security Audit and Risk Assessment. This process identifies vulnerabilities in current defences and evaluates risk based on factors like industry, data sensitivity, and attack vectors. The audit produces a detailed risk report with recommendations. Recognising and addressing quantum threats early is essential for organisations operating in critical and data-sensitive environments.

Improve

Once risks are identified, Merqury develops a customised quantum implementation plan. This includes a roadmap for integrating quantum-safe solutions and recommendations on the optimal combination of hardware and software. If required, a bespoke QKD network will be designed to fit the organisation’s infrastructure. The plan also facilitates compliance with emerging quantum security standards. All components are vendor-agnostic and built for compatibility with certified QKD providers. This phase ensures that each organisation receives a tailored approach that aligns with its operational needs and prepares it for a secure transition to quantum-safe communications.

Implement

Merqury deploys quantum-safe technologies with minimal disruption to existing infrastructure. Our solutions integrate with current systems, offering a seamless transition without the need for network rebuilds. The platform is vendor-agnostic and compatible with certified QKD hardware from providers such as ID Quantique, Toshiba, and LuxQuanta. Deployment includes the integration of post-quantum cryptography and, where applicable, quantum key distribution. Support services include ongoing system updates and security maintenance. This implementation phase ensures that organisations can adopt quantum-safe communication tools efficiently while maintaining operational continuity across critical systems and infrastructure.

Vulcan

Vulcan

Vulcan is Merqury Cybersecurity's quantum key management system. It is written entirely in Rust and follows the OQTAVO architecture. Vulcan supports trusted node functionality to overcome the limitations of quantum networks and offers secure erasure of key material after use. It is standards-compliant, with support for ETSI GS QKD 014 and upcoming compatibility with the Cisco SKIP protocol. Vulcan is capable of handling key requests of up to 16,000 bits and is designed to hide the differences between and limitations of QKD devices. It is part of Merqury's modular product line, built from the ground up following a software-defined networking (SDN) philosophy and designed to be vendor-agnostic.

Janus

Janus

Janus is Merqury Cybersecurity's network management and control system for quantum-secure infrastructure. It supports dynamic network topology and is capable of 1×N QKD deployments, such as one transmitter connected to multiple receivers. Janus enables transparent failover between redundant fibres or routes and includes support for custom passive optical switches. Designed to be vendor-agnostic, it can be deployed across a range of QKD hardware platforms without requiring proprietary integrations. As part of Merqury's modular product suite, Janus focuses on managing complex quantum network configurations while maintaining interoperability and operational resilience.

Athena

Athena

Athena is Merqury Cybersecurity's monitoring and alerting system designed specifically for tomorrow's quantum networks. It provides insights into the health of the quantum network, including key generation rate and service status. Athena is equipped with alerting functionality to notify users when unexpected events occur, helping ensure operational continuity. The system is web-based and can be customised to match the user's design language or interface preferences. Athena operates as part of Merqury's broader product ecosystem and is built to support organisations deploying advanced, quantum-safe infrastructure with full network visibility.
